MONSTALINER™ - Obtaining a Smooth Finish

Thinned down, rolled and then brushed

This demonstration was done at the request of a customer who wanted to coat the undersides of his mower decks to prevent grass from sticking and stones and sand from blasting off every coating previously tested.

This technique can also be used for coating jeep bumpers or for a fiberglass hardtop.

Mixing by volume: 7 parts Monstaliner Part A + 1 Part Catalyst + 10% Magnet S8 Multi-Temp Reducer.

Thinned coating is rolled first using a 3" or 4" mohair roller and then over-brushed with a 2" to 4" black polyester paint brush. Brush tips should be dipped in coating first before brushing. 2 coats like this will provide up to 45 mils dry.

Note: Monstaliner must be thinned to obtain a smooth finish. We used S8 Reducer because it evaporates slowly and aids in flow and leveling to help eliminate brush marks.
