Here's a video of Black Monstaliner being sprayed using a standard Shutz undercoating gun.

The catalyzed coating is reduced for spray using 4 to 8 ounces of MEK per gallon.

72 GMC Jimmy

Here's an awesome restoration project using CHASSIS SAVER™ #934 Silver-Aluminum followed by MONSTALINER™ Roll-On Bed Liner. Patch panels were welded into the bed and then coated with the #934 followed by 2 heavy coats of Monstaliner in black. Repairs are visible but blend well with surrounding bed.

Rotted Junk Returns From The Dead

This truck bed is likely the most extreme case of rotten junk you may ever come across. Used as a yard plow truck in winter, the wheel wells inside the bed were almost completely rotted from the side walls. The only reason we took on this project was to prove that anything is possible and to have some fun ... Enjoy!

Notes: Chassis Saver #934 Aluminum was used to prime all rusted areas. 3, 4, 5 coats until we lost count. Fiberglass cloth was saturated with #934 and allowed to get very tacky. Strips were laid into rotted areas over fresh coat of #934 and smoothed in using gloved bare hands and 4" drywall taping knife. Patches allowed to cure overnight. More coats of #934 applied. Prime coat of Monstaliner applied over patched areas and left 2 days. Entire bed and fiberglass patches sanded with 80 grit. 2 full coats of Monstaliner rolled. Duration: 6 hours working time over 6 days and a 6 pack or 2.

1998 Chevy S-10 EV - Electric Pickup

The Chevrolet S-10 Electric was introduced in 1997 by General Motors, updated in 1998, and then discontinued. It was an OEM BEV variant of Chevrolet's S-10 pickup truck which ran solely upon electricity, and was marketed primarily to utility fleet customers.

General Motors started with a regular cab, short-box (6' bed) S-10 pickup, with a base level trim package, added a half tonneau cover. In place of a typical inline four cylinder or V-6 engine, the Electric S-10 EV was equipped with an 85 kW (114 horsepower) three-phase, liquid cooled AC induction motor, based on GM's EV1 electric coupe. The EV1 had a 100 kW motor, GM reduced the S-10EV's motor because of the additional weight and drag of the truck so as not to overstress the batteries.

Other than the reduced motor size, the majority of power electronics were carried over directly from the EV1, which mandated that the Electric S-10 use a front-wheel-drive configuration, unlike the rear-wheel-drive setup found in stock S-10's and in the competing Ford Ranger EV.

Less than 500 S-10 Electrics were built. We are very lucky to have a neighbor who recently purchased one of the remaining 50 known to exist. Here's a complete Monstaliner installation after removal of the GM plastic drop-in liner.

1989 Jeep YJ

This restored 1989 Jeep YJ came to us from an email sent out to the Long Island Off Road Club. The tub had a coat of semi-gloss POR-15 and the owner wanted something nicer. The job came out awesome and we made a new friend but not because we did his jeep. He's just a good guy.

The original plan was to roll 2 coats in this tub. Since the owner was in no great hurry to get the vehicle back we decided to have some fun and spray the 2nd coat. The front floor boards had some minor rust so we ground surfaces down and applied a coat of Chassis Saver™ #934 Silver-Aluminum.

Also during this job we developed a method to coat the tight spots typical to jeeps. See photos below of the foam block used to get behind the roll bar and in around the tub where a roller just won't fit.

We tested 2 undercoating spay guns on this project and we invented a new method to spray directly from a 1 gallon can after mixing and reducing the Monstaliner — Enjoy!
